|Offices of leading newspaper “El Zocalo de Piedras Negras” attacked with grenade|

PIEDRAS NEGRAS, Coah., Mexico – Reports are surfacing today that the offices of the Piedras Negras newspaper El Zocalo were attacked with one grenade late Thursday night.
According to unofficial reports, the explosive device was thrown inside El Zocalo's parking lot and only shattered windows and damaged vehicles, but caused no injuries.
Local Police and the Mexican military immediately arrived at the scene and secured the area.
El Zocalo is not the first newspaper to be attacked in northern Mexico, in February 2006, the offices of leading newspaper El Mañana of Nuevo Laredo were attacked by unidentified men wielding grenades and assault rifles.
